The GOODS-South Field: Variability Survey

For my second-year project, I completed a study aimed at identifying Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) in the GOODS-South Field. Using pre-existing infrared and X-ray catalogs, I performed optical photometry to search for significant variability that might indicate the presence of an AGN.
My advisor and I published this work in the Astrophysical Journal (Klesman & Sarajedini, 2007). The astro-ph preprint can be found here:

Study of AGN in Galaxy Clusters

I have recently begun my thesis project, aimed to study AGN and AGN variability in galaxy clusters. I have a number of fields with multiple ACS epochs, as well as X-ray and IR data, and plan to survey these fields for variable AGN using a multiwavelength approach.

My most recent AAS Poster from the '08 Austin, TX, meeting can be found as a PDF here.
