Bo Åke Sture Gustafson

Professor of Astronomy
Director, Laboratory for Astrophysics

Dr. Gustafson and his research group at the University of Florida pursue multifaceted studies of some of the most pristine condensed material in the universe: cosmic dust particles and meteoroids. Gustafson's aspiration is to gain insight into the early state and formation of the solar system and related complexes around other stars. It is his belief that, we must first explore the present state and evolution of the solar system and gain an improved understanding of fundamental processes at work. These processes include dynamics of the dust and their interaction with sunlight.
