Directions to the Astronomy Department at the University of FloridaThere are four airports that serve central Florida: Gainesville, Jacksonville (1.25 hours from Gainesville), Tampa (2 hours), and Orlando (2 hours). Only Delta and US Airways airlines serve the Gainesville airport with connections through Atlanta or Charlotte, respectively. Most major airlines fly into the other 3 airports. All are within an easy hour or two drive of Gainesville. Directions from Gainesville Airport to UF: 1. Exit airport turn right turn on 39th Avenue Directions from Orlando to UF (Have $3.50 for tolls): 1. Take North Airport Exit/Orlando Directions from Jacksonville to UF (watch your speed on US-301): 1. Follow airport exit to Lem Turner Rd Directions from Tampa to UF: 1. Take Airport exit The UF Astronomy department is located in the Bryant Space Science building at the corner of Stadium Drive and Fletcher Drive across from the International Center. You can find a campus map below. The department office is room 211 on the second floor and various faculty and student offices can be found on floors 2, 3 and 4.
