No knowledge of astronomy needed and no equipment necessary! Current AAC members include both beginning star gazers and more advanced amateurs. All ages are welcome.

Member Benefits
*Members will receive a user ID and password by e-mail after dues paid to access the on-line issues of FirstLight.
**Telescopes club owns includes: 8" SCT Celestron, 8" Dobsonian Orion XT, 6" Dobsonian scope & 17.5" Dobsonian RLT ("Rather Large Telescope").

New member proration: Remit 50% dues between July 1 – Sept. 30. Remit full dues after Oct. 1 (will be applied toward following year).

1 Membership includes Astronomical League membership (including one subscription to Reflector Magazine), and one subscription to club's newsletter FirstLight. The AAC is a member of the International Dark-Sky Association; please consider individual enrollment.
2 Includes one Associate membership with voting privileges.
3 Eligible seniors are 62 years or older. (Seniors can still select regular membership!)
4 Student membership does not include print copy of club newsletter but does include an on-line subscription to FirstLight.
5 The AAC is exempt from federal income tax (IRS Code, Sect. 501). Contributions to the AAC may be tax deductible. See your tax advisor.


SUPPORTER AND BENEFACTOR CATEGORIES: AAC dues barely cover the club's newsletter and incidental costs. The AAC encourages members to make an extra (optional) contributions to help sustain club functions by becoming a Supporter or Benefactor. The Alachua Astronomy Club, Inc. is incorporated as a publicly supported, not for profit organization, and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code. Optional contributions may be deductible to the extent the law allows.

Members receive club's monthly newsletter (FirstLight), The Reflector (quarterly newsletter of the Astronomical League), and subscription reductions to Sky and Telescope and Astronomy Magazine.
