Academic Guidelines for Graduate Degrees in Astronomy (AG)

The Academic Guidelines represent the recommendations of the Astronomy Department faculty for students wishing to pursue masters and doctoral degrees in astronomy at the University of Florida.

The GAO Guide (GATOR)

The GATOR is a twenty-five page publication of the Graduate Astronomy Organization (GAO). This GAO Guide is meant to provide information for prospective and new graduate students that may be important for someone starting the graduate program in Astronomy at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

The GATOR is a a pdf (portable document format) file that can be read, navigated and printed using a program such as Adobe Acrobat (see box below). For convenience, the GATOR Table of Contents is also listed below.
