We provide computer desktop and network support for the Department of
Astronomy at the University of Florida. We will help spec out new
computer purchases and order them for you. We will help install,
configure, and maintain new computers for you. We will provide
network connections for your office. If you have computer related
needs, we are the people you want to contact.
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM,
excluding holidays. We can be reached via email requests sent to
admin at astro.ufl.edu.
The Folks
Ken Sallot is the manager of computer operations. He has been with
the department since 2002. He does the server administration, switch
and network management, workstation software configuration, and sets
policy and direction. He can be reached at extension 248.
Matt Glover joined the department in 2008 and does desktop support. He also
likes a nice cup of coffee.
