Areas of Specialty

Resolved stellar populations, star formation history of nearby galaxies, star clusters, stellar evolution.

Research Interests

My research is aimed at understanding the formation, evolution, and structure of galaxies. By resolving stars in galaxies throughout the Local Group, we can determine their chemical compositions, ages and distances, and thereby build a coherent picture of a galaxy's formation history.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Florida. After receiving my PhD from UF in 2006 I spent 3 years at the Space Telescope Science Institute as a postdoctoral researcher working with Roeland van der Marel. Following my time in Baltimore, I spent one year at Yale University working as a postdoctoral researcher with Marla Geha.
