Areas of Specialty

Neutron stars, black holes, high-energy. Multi-wavelength observations, timing, X-ray spectroscopy, variability. Python.

Research Interests

Isolated neutron stars, reduction and analysis of observational data. Everything to do with magnetars and accreting binary systems. Extinction and distance determination.


Masters from Oxford in 2002. Doctoral work with M van Kerkwijk in Toronto on magnetars. First post-doc at IAC, Tenerife, observations and particularly timing of accreting binary systems. At UF since January 2010.
