Areas of Specialty

Microquasar: QPO and Jets, Instrumentation: Readout electronics for infrared instruments.

Research Interests

My research is focus on the study of black holes. In particular, I have been working on the study of QPOs and Jets formation in microquasars. I am also interested on the development of the electronics for new astronomical instruments.

Biography

I am currently a graduate student in the Astronomy Department at the University of Florida. At this moment, I am also a student of the International School of Advance Instrumentation (IScAI). I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of La Laguna - Spain in 2006. In 2007 I got the IAC-UF Spanish Fellowship to pursue the doctoral studies at UF. As part of those studies I got the M.S. degree in Astronomy in 2009. I have been a core member of the Canarias InfraRed Camera Experiment (CIRCE) since May 2007. I have been designing and implementing the readout electronics and fast photometry mode of the instrument.
