Star formation in the Milky Way, the interstellar medium, radio and mm-wave observational techniques.
Star formation in the Milky Way and nearby galaxies, astrochemistry, the interstellar medium, surfaces & atmospheres of solar system bodies, radiative transfer problems, supernova remnants, astronomical databases, image analysis techniques.
Born & grew up in greatest cricketing nation on Earth; BSc/MSc at Sydney University while dreaming on the beach; PhD at Illinois amongst the cornfields; postdocs at Toronto, CfA (yes, the centre of the known universe), & Haystack; then NRAO, UNSW, back to Sydney; now happily planning the conquest of the Galaxy from Florida.
