OBJECTIVE: The goal of this course is to familiarize the student with the concepts learned in the lecture.

GRADING: The student will be graded based on two major aspects:

    1. Lab reports: You have the option of completing the report at home. Should you decide to do this, you must turn in the report the following week or you shall get a grade of ZERO for that report.
    2. I must initial your data sheet before you leave the lab otherwise the report will not be graded.

Lab reports make up 60% of the student’s grade

    3. Quizzes: These will be administered during the first 15-20 minutes of the class. They will range anywhere from 3 – 5 questions. Often it will be three questions, two from the previous experiment & one from the experiment to be performed that day.

Quizzes make up 40% of the student’s grade

EXTRA CREDIT: Extra credit assignments will be given, as the instructor deems necessary throughout the course of the semester.

PREPARATION:

I will expect you to come prepared to class. I ask that the students bring a page with the purpose of the experiment as well as a summary of the theory involved in the experiment that will be performed that day.
