Consequently on Thursday Jan. 29, 2004, I completed an online Fidelity Brokerage Account application to create a custodial college savings plan for Joseph Elston. I have funding it with an initial installment of $1,000.00. For the moment, I am the custodian (since I did not have Elizabeth's personal identification info., I was obliged to supply my own). Although this is meant to be a college savings plan, presumably via Fidelity (feeless or low fee?) mutual funds, it actually is not too restrictive. Elizabeth can take over the custodial assignment as soon as she has the time to deal with the paperwork.
I invite any and all to consider a contribution, small or large.
Please make a note of the account number. The nature of this account allows anyone to contribute to it, but I believe only contributions from Joseph's immediate family are tax deductible (up to $11,000/year).
