Once
upon a time there was a boy that lived far far away from where he was
born. This boy had many friends, he had friends everywhere, from Japan
to Argentina. He had more friends than he deserved, he used to think.
But something tormented him, how to be able to satisfy all the
requirements of a good friendship while he was flying free around the
world. Friends were one of the more important things to him, but his
adventurous nature did not allow him to spend with them as much time as
he would like, as they deserved. He had the feeling that something was
missing. What is friendship? To have a cup of coffee? To call at three
o’clock in the morning? To share a secret? Many nights he did not sleep
trying to answer this question. One day, suddenly, and after a
serendipitous encounter with an
old friend,
he found the answer he was looking for. An answer much easier than he
had ever thought. Friendship became a desire. The desire of doing
things together. A shared desire to enjoy even if it never came true.
From that moment onwards he started to write to-do lists. To-do lists
with everything he would like to do with each of his friends. One per
friend. Long and short, narrow and broad. All of them unique, and
probably unfeasible most of them, but with something in common, the
shared desire of two people to make real memories out of those words...
