• Example: Retired IBM programer Paul Comba has discovered 522 objects since 1996 in 514 nights of observing (7575 astrometric observations). He has found 18 numbered objects.

• From 1990-1999 Japanese amateurs made 6% of all reported observations (4th after LINEAR, Spacewatch, ESO) and 8% of the new discoveries.
