Hale-Bopp Mar 8, 1997 05:41AM EST 70mm, f/8, 12 sec
This image was taken from the street in front of my house March 8, 1997, 05:41 AM. It is a 12 sec exposure with a 70mm telephoto lens at f/8 attached to an ST-8 CCD camera (2x2 averaging). Unfortunately, dawn was already well advanced as can be seen by the sky background. Thanks are due to UF Rosemary Hill Observatory engineer John Baker for help putting together the home brew lens adaptor.
