Student Training in Astronomy Research Skills

☆ S.T.A.R.S. ☆


       The purpose of the program is to foster an interest in science among high school students and increase awareness of new discoveries in astronomy research. We hope to accomplish this through a series of lectures from UF faculty members, laboratory exercises, and other activities.


Dates:  Friday March 28th and Saturday March 29th, 2008

Location:  University of Florida Main Campus

Eligibility:  High school juniors and seniors in the Alachua County school system with science or math teacher recommendation.
