Under PI Stephen Eikenberry, the MIRADAS team has the expertise developed for a number of previous cutting-edge instruments
FLAMINGOS-2 is a fully-cryogenic facility near-infrared imager and multi-object spectrograph for the Gemini 8-meter telescopes
(PI — S. Eikenberry).
FISICA is a fully-cryogenic all-reflective image-slicing integral field unit for the FLAMINGOS near-infrared spectrograph
(PI — S.Eikenberry)
FRIDA is an AO-fed near-infrared imager and integral field spectrograph being built for the Gran Telescopio Canarias 10.4-m telescope by a consortium led by UNAM in Mexico (PI — J. A. Lopez), and including UF, IAC, and UCM.
CIRCE is a near-infrared camera designed for the Folded Cassegrain focal station of the GTC (PI — S. Eikenberry). MIRADAS shares the same Folded Cassegrain envelope constraints as CIRCE, and the MIRADAS vacuum jacket and handling cart are loosely based on the same components in CIRCE.
