- Bachelor’s in Physics, Samford University, 2018
I have previous experiences working in x-ray labs, so I am mostly interested in Instrumentation and lab work. I want to be help build instruments and telescopes that will assist in further observations to better understand the universe around us.
I am originally from Atlanta, GA. I pursued my undergraduate degree in Physics at Samford University in Birmingham AL. Alongside this degree, I also minored in Spanish and World Languages & Cultures and worked in a planetarium for 3.5 years. I have done previous research with University of Alabama on X-ray flares in M81 and gamma ray research at NASA Goddard with the Fermi group. After graduating in December 2018 from Samford, I worked at NASA Marshall for 8 months on X-ray AGN research and X-ray calibration/lab work for IXPE. I loved working in the labs more than any other work I’ve done before which led me to want to pursue research in instrumentation at UF alongside Dr. Steve Eikenberry.
