Galaxy formation and evolution, high redshift Universe
I am from central Illinois and did my undergraduate degree in physics at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I spent a lot of time outside the classroom participating in and leading the UIUC chapter of Society of Physics Students, which cultivated my love for scientific outreach. My research interests are boradly described as galaxy formation and evolution. Most of my undergraduate research focused on a subset of galaxies known as sub-mm galaxies, studying their properties, learning a lot about SED modeling, and how to think like a scientist.
